Naila Goldenberg, MD was born in Russia and graduated in 1994 from the 1st State St Petersburg Medical University. After moving to the USA in 1996, Dr Goldenberg completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, OH, in 2002. She went on to complete a Clinical and Research Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at the University of Michigan in 2007. Upon return to Ohio, she worked at the Cholesterol Center with Charles Glueck, MD while holding a post as Asst. Professor at the University of Cincinnati. In 2012 she transitioned to the Mercy Endocrinology Clinic and in 2017 founded the Functional Endocrinology Center (FunCDE, LLC) with focus on Cholesterol and Diabetes.
Dr Goldenberg’s practice encompasses integration of Western and Eastern approaches to patient care, as based on strong scientific evidence. Dr Goldenberg is board certified in Endocrinology and Clinical Lipidology, and is also certified by the Diabetes Technology Society. She was personally trained by and worked closely with renowned researcher Charles Glueck, MD since 2002. Together they co-authored numerous articles and presented data at scientific meetings.

Her clinical interests focus on cholesterol and lipid related thrombo-embolic disorders, Hashimoto disease, diabetes, weight gain, PCOS, transgender care, Menopause, Andropause, and general endocrinology. She is passionate about her patients and is always looking for innovative approaches. Her studies led to Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine looks at the root cause of endocrine and other disorders and focuses on unity of Body-Spirit and Mind connection. Dr. Goldenberg tailors the therapy to the patient based on their belief and comfort zone. She offers a full spectrum of endocrine and Functional Medicine services.
